“Becoming a hairstylist was not just a dream for me;
it is was what I was meant to do.”
Hello, I’m Natalie!
As a little girl, it didn’t matter what my Barbies wore as long as their hair was done. I am passionate about my craft and blow-drying hair - in some circles, I’m known as the Blow-dry Queen!
I want to help you fall in love with your hair!
Having fine hair myself, I know what it feels like for a hairstylist to not give you the TLC that a thick-haired client might get. My finished results would turn out flat because the blow dryer was too hot or too big a brush was used, and no volume was added to my hair.
It does not seem possible that I have been a hairstylist for twenty-plus years. It feels like I was starting my career in the Carlingwood shopping center not long ago. After getting out of the mall, I realized that clients should not be rushed in and out for an appointment. Pre-booking is so important to keep you on your hair journey, and professional products do make a difference and help hair do what you want it to.
As a working mom, I understand that your time is precious and being away from work or your family is an informed decision you make and there is no need to waste these opportunities. I am not about to rush you in and out or move at a turtle’s pace with lots of clients all at one time. I have heard stories of clients being in a salon for hours at a time.
When I am not behind my chair, I try to call myself a runner (road and treadmill), Asics Kayano girl for my indoor and outdoor wear. During the heights of the most popular seasons, I’ll be on a ball field or at the hockey rink. I need to step out of my work heels and put on some cleats or hockey skates so I can raise a little H-E double hockey stick!
I love working with curly hair, brunettes & grey coverage clients.
I want you to want to sit in my chair!
I value creating a relationship with you, so we can work on getting you, your best hair ever.
I want to get your colour perfect! I want to keep working on your haircut and style until it you can create the same thing at home. A good consultation can uncover some reasons for your limp hair, breakage around the front hairline, or why it feels like there is a wax buildup on your hair (drugstore shampoo will do that to you). We have to sit down eye to eye, every time to make sure you are still happy and pleased with our hair journey. It is not fair to waltz behind your chair to ‘check-in’ if we are doing the same thing as last time.
I am not the stylist for you if you are just looking for a quick fix service.
